Dr. Ankur Chikara      

Dr. Ankur Chikara is a Senior Consultant Physician and Diabetologist at Ekaayi Healthcare Centers, New Delhi, with over eight years of experience in internal medicine. A gold medalist from UCMS, he specializes in Diabetes Care, Diabetic Foot Management, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Hepatic Infections. His research interests include dyslipidemias, hypertension, and neurological complications associated with COVID-19. Dr. Chikara previously served at Safdarjung Hospital, where he led the SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Infection) team during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has authored multiple national and international publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Ankur Chikara is a Senior Consultant Physician and Diabetologist at Ekaayi Medcare Center, with over eight years of clinical experience in internal medicine. Known for his patient-centric and evidence-based approach, he is recognized for delivering high-quality, comprehensive care.

A gold medalist from the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), New Delhi, Dr. Chikara has undergone advanced training in Diabetes Management (Diabetes India), Diabetic Foot Care (IMMAST), Cardiology (Johns Hopkins University & MESF), and Liver Infections (ILBS, New Delhi). His research on the effects of atorvastatin on vitamin D levels, oxidative stress, and insulin resistance has been widely appreciated.

He has served as Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, where he led the SARI team during the COVID-19 outbreak. He has also worked in cardiology at Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital and in endocrinology at GTB Hospital.

Dr. Chikara has multiple national and international publications to his credit and has contributed as an author to various medical updates and journals. His key areas of interest include Diabetes Care, Gastroenterology, Neurology, and research in dyslipidemia, hypertension, and COVID-related neurological complications.
